Statement of Philosophy:
Athletics & Activities at Nebraska Christian exist to train:
1. God-glorifiers (Is. 43:7; 1 Cor. 10:31)
2. Gospel ambassadors (Mt. 28:18-20; 1 Cor. 9:23; 2 Cor. 5:14-21)
3. Kingdom influencers (Mt. 25:14-30) for Christ.
This means that NC endeavors to train student athletes who, as an expression of love toward God, glorify God through their preparation, practice and performance. This is accomplished by competing for God so people see Him and not them, by competing for God as an act of worship, by competing through God in dependence on Him, and by competing with a view to the imperishable reward coming from God.
Nebraska Christian’s goal is to train student-athletes by prioritizing and promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ on each team and by displaying exemplary speech and conduct. NC trains student-athletes to become leaders and influencers who love God by impacting the world in which they live, work, and minister so that the kingdom of God is advanced, Jesus Christ is honored, and people are blessed.
